Dr. Ulrike Herzau-Gerhardt graduated in Chemical engineering from the University of Meresburg, Germany, where she also received her PhD. Since 1983 she is engaged with theTechical University of Leipzig (today the University of Applied Sciences), where she now holds professorship for Printing processes. Besides, Professor Herzau-Gerhardt is head of the group for printing corrugated boards of the German Association of Fleoxographic Printing.

Her principal field of interest are functional coating systems, inking systems and flexographic printing.

Professor Ulrike Herzau-Gerhardt was elected as the member of the Board in September 2006.
